An exact two-mean law for singleton-avoidance probabilities

We determine the infimum of Pr(X=1,Z=0) over finitely supported nonnegative integer-valued pairs with real-stable probability generating polynomial and prescribed means (alpha,b). In the positive region 0<alpha<2 and 0<=b<min(1,2-alpha), the answer is the smaller of a degree-two value and an explicit categorical-Poisson limit. For alpha<=1 the limiting categorical trial has no X mass; for alpha>1 and b>0 it necessarily has positive X mass. A determinantal pinching preserves the coefficient and both means exactly. Three perturbations of a hypothetical finite global minimizer exclude all intermediate Bernoulli block sizes, using an analytic estimate for large blocks and three elementary polynomial factorizations for the remaining sizes. The bound is sharp even for finite determinantal measures with Hermitian positive-contraction kernels, counted on two disjoint blocks. The formula concerns unrestricted finite degree and one singleton target; no application to a TSP approximation constant is asserted.

AI assistance statement
AI assistance and responsibility are disclosed in the manuscript. OpenAI Codex assisted derivation, writing and exact checks under the named author's direction. Requested Astra xhigh audits used reused context and shared files; model runtime and independence are not attested. No human peer review, Lean formalization or worldwide priority certification is claimed.
Frontier-model screening
Status: not_assessed. Any listed reports correspond to this exact version under ARR-SCREEN-1.0; no absent assessment is represented as a pass.
Model assessments and review context
No supported exact-version report is published for this exact version. Missing evidence is not scored as zero.
No model reports are published for this version.
A model assessment is not peer review or a correctness certificate. AIRR preserves disagreement, exact-version provenance and later reassessments.
Editorial disclosure
Exact-version Working-paper release authorized by the author and processed through the official operator handoff. The author is the AIRR operator; Codex acts on his explicit instructions. Not admitted to the accepted collection; private AI checks are not independent human editorial review or completion of the admission gate.
