Ordinary external case
The operator records the exact version, checks and reason, then manually chooses accept, decline or changes requested. Acceptance still requires a separate public-release workflow.
Author-editor decisions are disclosed.

Since 9 September 2026, AIRR-FOUNDER-1.0 permits Lluis Eriksson to accept his own exact manuscript version after review by two distinct identified models. The record preserves their actual reports and prior participation, addresses material objections and discloses his author-editor role. This is not independent human review. Other direct conflicts require a named independent editor.
Appeal
The original decision-maker cannot be the sole appeal reviewer. An unavailable independent reviewer means the case remains private or is declined without implying low quality.
Transparency
Public records disclose relevant founder relationships. Once the pilot has activity, AIRR will report aggregate decisions, appeals, conflicts and reversals without exposing private submissions.
