Abstract

Leake and Mohammadi Yekta proved coefficientwise midpoint log-concavity for lattice-point enumerators of unimodular box fibers. We characterize its equality cases. For three nonempty fibers in one integer coordinate box, equality at one positive external field is equivalent to symmetric integral translation of the three real fiber polytopes. Equality is independent of the field, and unweighted equality forces all three counts to coincide. The proof uses a squarefreeness lemma for the complete lattice-point enumerator of any lattice polytope. A product of k such enumerators can be the kth power of another only when their polytopes are integral translates with shifts summing to zero. Coordinate extrema yield an equality test using six linear optimizations per coordinate and no lattice-point enumeration. Basis normalization and Tardos's algorithm give a strongly polynomial number of arithmetic operations under the integer-box promise, with input-dependent bit costs. We explain the rational-box boundary, strictness consequences and a weighted realization obstruction. No global Jensen inequality is established.

AI assistance statement

The named author directed substantial OpenAI Codex assistance in derivation, writing and numerical work. Full requested GPT-6 Astra xhigh review833 assessed this exact six-page PDF: importance4.0/10, technical8.5/10, minor revision followed by specialist human review. The original complete report, all objections and context are retained. The reviewer found no fatal mathematical flaw under the intended integer-box hypotheses; it requested closer classical bibliography, explicit integral right-hand sides, a stable supplement pointer and wording corrections. A separate author response accompanies the unchanged evaluated PDF. The PDF pending-assessment paragraph predates this report. No inherited grade, independent human review, certified priority, formal verification or importance greater than7 is claimed. Requested model and effort are not attested as effective runtime identity or independence. Shared filesystem and Codex participation are disclosed. Author/founder/operator conflict is declared. Working paper only; the native admission gate remains pending and no author-editor acceptance has occurred. A later equimodular classification is not contained in or graded by this PDF.

Original full833 assessed this exact six-page PDF once: importance4.0/10 and separate technical8.5/10. Binding846 only serializes that completed review; it is neither a second vote nor a regrade. The original prompt was not literally ARR-ASSESS-1.0; that label identifies the later serialization format. Provider/model labels identify the requested GPT-6 Astra xhigh configuration, not attested runtime or effort. Independence unknown; shared filesystem and Codex participation disclosed. Original R1-R4 and adverse significance reservations remain visible. An author response provides external bibliographic and wording clarifications without changing the PDF. The pending-review paragraph in the PDF predates833. The reviewed file is not the later classification extension. Ordinary author deposit, exact server download, clean scanner, author CC-BY-4.0 permission and founder-author/operator conflict are recorded. Working paper, not native gate completion, accepted collection admission or independent human review. The goal greater than7 remains unmet.

Recommendation: Minor Revision · Material objections: 0

Búsqueda acotada, prioridad no certificada.
    Significance

    Potential errors

    Unresolved material objections
